Diaz Keeps It Low-Key During Casual Outing Ahead of 46th Birthday

Cameron Diaz kept things low-key ahead of her birthday this year.

Just days before the actress turned 46 on Thursday, Diaz was seen getting some groceries from Whole Foods on Saturday in Glendale, California.

During her casual outing, the actress wore a blue-and-white striped dress with a floral design, which she paired with a long neutral-colored cardigan and a pair of flip flops. To complete her look, Diaz carried a white bag as well as what appeared to be a glass bottle of water.

In recent years, Diaz has been living her life outside of the Hollywood spotlight — and absolutely loving it.

A source recently told PEOPLE that both Diaz and her husband, former Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden “are great” and “are both very happy living the quiet life.”

Diaz, who wed the musician, 39, in 2015, hasn’t appeared in a movie since the 2014 remake of Annie. In recent years, Diaz has also shifted focus from acting to wellness ambassador. In 2013, she released the bestseller The Body Book, followed by 2016’s The Longevity Book, in which she shared her secrets to aging beautifully.

“The quiet life she lives now with Benji, she wanted for a long time,” the source added.

Earlier this year, Diaz’s friend Selma Blair caused a stir after she told Metro News UK that her pal had retired from acting.

“I had lunch with Cameron the other day, We were reminiscing about the film. I would have liked to do a sequel but Cameron’s retired from acting. She’s like ‘I’m done,’ ” she told the publication.

Blair later clarified on Twitter that she had been making a joke during the interview, and that Diaz was “NOT retiring from ANYTHING.” But while she might not be hanging up the towel for good, the source previously told PEOPLE that Diaz “seems satisfied with her life the way it is.”

Even though Diaz has taken a step back from the spotlight, she’s still got plenty of time for her famous pals.

In July, Diaz and her longtime BFF Drew Barrymore posed together for a makeup-free selfie. While driving out for their “playdate,” Barrymore, 43, snapped a quick selfie with Diaz in the car that showed off both of their bare-faced, makeup-free skin — without any filter.

In the photo’s caption, Barrymore made sure her fans know that even when she’s not wearing makeup, sun safety is a key component to her beauty routine. “#SUNSCREENALWAYS” she hashtagged the post — in all caps for extra emphasis.

Barrymore and Diaz have been friends ever since meeting on the set of Charlie’s Angels 18 years ago.

Why Cameron Diaz’s Privacy Changed the Course of Her Career

Happy birthday, Cameron Diaz! The Golden Globe nominee is celebrating her 46th birthday today.

Ahead of her special day, Diaz was spotted out and about in Los Angeles, having dinner with her pals, including sister-in-law Nicole Richie and actress Zoe Saldana. Days earlier, Diaz was spotted running errands and picking up some groceries from Whole Foods. Photographers snapped Diaz, donning a striped floral dress and cardigan, carrying her items to her car on Saturday, Aug. 25.

These days, Diaz has been living a very low-key life away from the spotlight. In March, she confirmed that she’s “actually retired” from acting. The confirmation came amid speculation that Diaz was done with acting after two decades in the entertainment industry. Diaz’s Sweetest Thing co-star Selma Blair added fuel to the retirement rumors earlier in March when she spoke about her pal getting out of the acting game.

“We were reminiscing about the film [The Sweetest Thing]. I would have liked to do a sequel, but Cameron’s retired from acting,” Blair reportedly told Metro News. “She’s like, ‘I’m done.'”

After the article was published, Blair took to Twitter to clarify her comments. “Guys please, I was making a joke in an interview,” Blair told her social media followers. “CAMERON DIAZ is NOT retiring from ANYTHING. And for more breaking news: I am NOW retiring from being Cameron Diaz’s spokesperson.” But then, during a Sweetest Thing reunion interview with Diaz, Blair and Christina Applegate, Diaz admitted that she’s retired.

When the trio was asked by Entertainment Weekly if they’ve all reunited since filming the 2002 movie, they revealed that they haven’t.

“Goddamn it, why not?” Diaz asked.

“I don’t know. You guys tell me. I see Selma,” Applegate replied, to which Blair added, “Our kids are friends. Cameron?”

Diaz told her former co-stars, “Maybe I should, you know, I mean, I’m down. I’m literally doing nothing.”

Applegate then shared that she is “semi” retired.

“I’m literally doing nothing, too! I’m semi-retired, I haven’t worked for years. I’m a mom, that’s what we do. So I’m around, man,” Applegate said.

“That’s so awesome,” Diaz replied. “I’m totally down. I’m semi-retired, too, and I am actually retired, so I would love to see you ladies.”

It’s been four years since we last saw Diaz on-screen in 2014’s Annie. Since then, Diaz has tied the knot with Benji Madden and has been putting her privacy ahead of anything else.

Diaz has also turned her focus to wellness in recent years, releasing two books on health and aging. In 2013, Diaz and Sandra Bark co-wrote The Body Book: The Law of Hunger, the Science of Strength, and Other Ways to Love Your Amazing Body. Three years later, the duo teamed up again to release The Longevity Book: The Science of Aging, the Biology of Strength, and the Privilege of Time.

Instead of hitting the red carpet, Diaz, who was one of the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood before taking a step away from the spotlight, is more likely these days to be found hanging with her sister-in-law, spending time with her pal and former Charlie’s Angels co-star Drew Barrymore, or on romantic vacations with her husband.

In June 2017, Diaz offered a bit of a hint as to why she decided to leave the Hollywood scene, explaining that the non-stop work and travel was just too much. “I just went, ‘I can’t really say who I am to myself.’ Which is a hard thing to face up to,” she shared at the Goop Wellness Summit. “I felt the need to make myself whole.”

And while we may miss her infectious smile on our movie screens, Diaz seems more at peace than ever before as she enjoys her private world.

Steven Tyler’s Daughter Liv Was Embarassed After He Hit On Cameron Diaz

It Was Apparently One Of The Aerosmith Rocker’s Secrets That He Reveals During An Appearance On ‘The Late Late Show With James Corden’.

Steven Tyler once embarrassed his daughter Liv Tyler by hitting on her friend Cameron Diaz.

The Aerosmith rocker was forced to confess his secrets during an appearance on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” on Thursday night (May 17) when host James invited him to participate in a segment called “Spill Your Guts” or “Fill Your Guts”.

Steven had to choose between eating disgusting food – including a cow’s tongue and bird saliva – or answering a personal question.

One question James asked was whether or not the rock legend had ever hit on any of his daughter Liv’s friends, to which he replied: “Yes, I have. And I got a lot of s**t for it too.”

Steven then revealed he was once seated next to Cameron – who is now married to Benji Madden – and asked her out.

“Cameron, should you ever need someone to take you to the movies or you know, like, if I was to, you know, ask you to show me around London,” he recalled of a conversation with the “Charlie’s Angels” star, before explaining that an impressed Liv put an end to the chat by stating, “Daddy, you’re hitting on my best girlfriend!”

“And I got ashamed for a moment,” the rocker confessed.

Later in the tell-all interview, the 70-year-old admitted he had spent “about $2 million” on drugs in his lifetime, with most of the cash used to buy cocaine.

“I snorted half of Peru,” he joked.

While Steven had no problem discussing his daughter and his drug problems, he wasn’t prepared to insult his band members. And when it came to ranking the Aerosmith members in order of talent, or eating cow intestine, he reluctantly chose the latter.
